Interior Limewash for Walls, Brick & Fireplaces

Velatura Mineralwash is specifically designed for drywall—it goes on in two brush-applied coats with no primer and produces a soft, mottled limewash look without chalking. Classico Limewash is designed for masonry surfaces like brick and stone—it bonds directly in a single coat with no primer. If your project involves both drywall walls and a brick fireplace, we would use both products, each on the appropriate surface.

The mineral finish itself is quite durable for most interior applications. For high-traffic areas like hallways, kitchens, and children's rooms, we apply Romabio Mineral Shield or Decorative Topcoat Flat to add scuff resistance and cleanability. For bathrooms and behind sinks, the topcoat also adds moisture resistance. The sealed finish can be gently wiped clean with mild detergent and water without damaging the texture.
